Jeff Leaver (Leaver Construction) has done three major remodeling projects for us and several small ones. When we bought a house in Pebble Beach, he came down with his crew and did the job there while living in the house. He has a lot of integrity and experience, always provides top quality work by himself and his subs, taking full responsibility for all. He is always extremely professional and has great communication skills.
What distinguishes him from other good contractors is his creative mind and his eye for detail. He is always engaged in the creative process, putting forward his ideas, while at the same time respecting the client's choices. He often thought of details we had not considered. He was excellent at working to budget and schedule, making adjustments as necessary when changes were agreed during construction.

We own a 1926 Tudor style home that is declared as a Historical Resource for the City of Belmont. We had been looking for a contractor who could remodel our kitchen, maintain the integrity and style of our home, and work well with the City of Belmont Community Development and Permit Center without gouging our financial resources.
We have had numerous contractors and companies "offer" to do the work we wanted and so badly needed. We would tell them our budget, explain what we wanted, and amazingly, they would all come back with some ridiculous number that excluded important parts of the remodel. We almost resigned ourselves to having to wait another few years to do what we wanted.
We met Jeff Leaver in a casual setting and somehow began the discussion of our experiences with contractors and local remodeling companies. Jeff offered to come over and "take a look", hesitantly, we agreed.
We layed out our design ideas, explained some of the structural constraints we believed existed, and gave him our budget. Jeff returned about a week later with a plan view and cost estimate that was within what we wanted to spend and the design was fabulous!!! Even better, because he is well known in our City Permit Center, we had absolutely NO issues, which amazed me knowing the rumors of the Belmont Permit Center.
